Have you tried sourcing these overseas. The shipping is more but I am sure the products will be cheaper overall. Other than that. Try Alibab or global soruces.
I source all over the world and am currently in Hong Kong. Let me know if I can help. DW
#9, Thanks for that history! When I saw it in Rome, it was behind a wrought iron gate which was erected in 1972 after a man named Lazlo Toth damaged it with 15 blows of his sledgehammer that he had hidden under his coat. That was so awful, but the artisans at the Vatican repaired it perfectly.
Ditto the above poster – wrought iron is mainly used for decorative purposes and is not produced on a large scale these days. It is beautiful though and makes very striking furniture items.. mirrors, patio furniture, candle holders etc.
This is from my area and I have rounded off the figures: 10 gallon tank: $10 Stand: 25 Power filter: 35 Undergavel filter: 10 Air pump: 25 Hood with florescent light: 40 Backround: 5 20# gravel: 20 Submersible Heater: 35 De-chlorinator: 7 Food: 6 Fake plants: 30 Thermometer: 6 ph kit (all purpose jr. test kit): 10
This would give an approximate cost of right around $270.
Perhaps you should restart your eduacation with some basic spelling and grammer. If you wish to be taken seriously, you should try not to start every sentence with 'being african american” and then mentioning your clearly high educational aspirations, it reeks of condescension and alienates the people from whom you are trying to invoke empathy.
Very few. There are some bricks and cement blocks used as a core for the stone alignment, and some cups and platters for antidoron and such, but basically everything is hand crafted. The stone are cut with traditional tools, the locks and metal parts are wrought iron from a local blacksmith, and the rugs are from Persia and Afghanistan.

And one from an actual rental place….the smaller black one in front of the two tall ones…
They often use them to drape vines or tulle down the aisle across multiple hooks. You can also drape tulle first between them and then attach flowers/vines on the individual hooks. Its a shot in the dark but ??
pretty much every paint will come off eventually, mainlybecause: 1. Metal expands and contracts 2. The metal remains very hot and very cold long after the apmospheric temperature changes, stressing the paint.
One of the easiest ways to add colour if you are making this art yourself is by encorperating things such as mosaic tiles, and large ceramic beads.
Remember to be creative- and never dismiss an idea untill you see it properly…. No artist is happy with thier work in progress!
it really depends on where you live. i own a pet shop and a set -up as you describe it would cost about $500 dollars (thats Canadian dollars Too!). its not the setup i would recommend however. wrought iron stands are considered old fashioned with many styles of wooden ones replacing them. and undergravel filters aren't used much anymore as power filters are A) more powerful B) much quieter with flourescent lighting (good choice) and a power filter i would get live plants and a fertilizer its more of a natural setup that way
ur vids helped a lot. i used an electric leaf blower for my air source to the forge i made out of my fire pot out back. also i learned rebar is pretty good material for metallurgy and not too expensive
Studied at Balcatta senior high in the early 80's. A nice enough outer suburb full of sons & daughters of market gardeners & italians.
Names like Con, Mario & Nino were common along with the sights of rows of tomatoes & greens. These days most of thats gone and you have magnificent architecture as seen above.
Lots of stone carved Lions there still though – and happy hunting for a place that doesnt have at least a dozen roman columns holding up the tiled & wrought iron balcony!
Riveted steel is any steel with rivets. Specifying rivets does not specify the steel.
Again, commercial steel does not specify the steel…it can be any steel that is available for purchase. Steels are specified by ANSI or ISO designations like 1012, 12L14, 4140, etc.
Wrought iron is a completely different and weaker cousin and predecessor to steel. Like cast iron, the "wrought" meaning it's been hammered and worked on, cold or hot. It is not generally available nowadays and used for decorative purposes (fences, gates, handrails) when it is used.
An extra generous serving of shadows this week! I love the wrought iron trivet along with the blue votive. Yummy shots!Hope you are having a great weekend!
