Again, commercial steel does not specify the steel…it can be any steel that is available for purchase. Steels are specified by ANSI or ISO designations like 1012, 12L14, 4140, etc.

Wrought iron is a completely different and weaker cousin and predecessor to steel. Like cast iron, the "wrought" meaning it's been hammered and worked on, cold or hot. It is not generally available nowadays and used for decorative purposes (fences, gates, handrails) when it is used.

One of the easiest ways to add colour if you are making this art yourself is by encorperating things such as mosaic tiles, and large ceramic beads.
