round wall mirror What fixings do i need for these mirrors and shelves..?`?
I have a handyman coming next week to put up two mirrors and shelves for me... I want to make sure I have the fixings I need as they dont have any wall fixings with them from what i can see... The walls are all concrete walls and the mirrors have round loops on each side at the back... The shelves are ikea lack floating shelves... What should i buy in advance to make sure he has everything he needs to complete the jobs..? If you need more description please let me know and i will add because im not too good with these things..! Thanks I think the things on the back of the mirrors are called D Rings...
You need picture wire that connects to the D rings. That's what the mirrors will hang from. You'll need to know roughly how much the mirrors weight so you buy the right wire. You will also need Cement anchors since your wall is cement. Also the screws that go in the anchors - enough for the shelves and the mirrors. You'll need a drill bit for the cement, a level, a hammer, measuring tape, pencil. I would go to the closest hardware store, they can help you with everything you need.

Round mirror Help? has no frame.?
I have bought a round mirror I thought it was so pretty but it was missing the frame I got at a garage sale. I was thinking of maybe put my own decorations around it I'm looking for the Contemporary look. If you have any suggestions as of right now I have the mirror hanged on living room wall the colors on my living room are Burgundy or mahogany color and black I have circles a lot of circles need a creative mind Thanks!
actually right now mirrors w/o frames ARE stylish..... but you might want to somehow mount it a little bit forward, kinda like 3D. this is a contemporary and stylish look!! hope this helps!!!!
i would not use it. thats too heavy, unless you setting the mirror on a back splash. then i would, but i still would be concerened about it falling. use mirror mastic adhesive for mirrors that wont ruin the silvering. since your willing to stick velcro to the wall do it the right way and glue it to the wall. used mirror mastic for 4 x 8 sheets of mirror for customers.you wont need much and if it has to be replaced you'll cover any damage on wall with a new mirror. get it at a glass shop. do not use liquid nails or any thing else it will eat through the silvering!
this “paranormal activity” is annoying. the only thing that freaked me out was the picture that was in the attic. everything else..come one a woman sleep walking? thats more of a sleep disorder if you ask me. and girls that watch this movie in the theater and close their eyes? really?
From the size of the holes you are describing I would say you have two options.
1. Fill the holes with standard spackling and make your new mounting holes in a spot with non-damaged drywall. Such as a little higher, lower, left, or right.
2. Fill the holes with epoxy putty. This is available at most hardware/home improvement stores. It is an epoxy that normally comes in a tube and you slice a piece off the size you need. This putty has two layers, generally the inside and outside layers are different colors. You work the putty and mix the two layers together to activate the hardener. Once mixed you can use this to fill your holes. It will dry rock hard normally within an hour. It can be sanded and painted. In order to mount in this product you will need to pre-drill a hole as it will be too hard to put a screw in without pre-drilling.
I have done a combination of these two in the past and filled the hole with spackling, let it dry, then mounted a bracket for my towel rod with this epoxy putty. If I ever need to remove it I will have to use a putty knife and a hammer. Once this was all set, I can tell you it wasn't going anywhere. My kids can hang from that towel bar. I'm just not going to tell them that or I'm sure I'll be repairing other fixtures!
with the mirror there should be screws and plastic clips that come with it, if not ask for them at the hardware store…using a level, holding the mirror on the wall at the height you want and draw a light pencil line on the wall at bottom of mirror. Set the mirror aside and mount two of the bottom clips on the line at about 6 inches a part, using simple plastic anchors. make sure that the hole for the anchors are small so that he anchor push in rather tight. After the bottom clips are in, Ask your bro To help. slide the mirror down on the clips and then add two on top, and two on each side evenly spaced at about three feet apart. you should be able to find a light like the one you describe. it should be mounted very securely…into a wall stud if possible or else molly bolts may be necessary as anchors.
Well, let me start off by saying, I LOVE this blog post!
Great customer service techniques Jen. Many of these concepts are tried and tested effective techniques for dealing with difficult residents.
I have one simple solution to angry residents. I learned this from Ford's 25+ year customer service consultant… it is no joke, it works.
Putting a large (full wall) mirror behind the customer service desk will drastically reduce angry resident outbursts. The reason it works: People do not like watching themselves be angry (just like you dont like to watch them get angry), it is a subconscious psychological reflex to seeing their angry selves staring back.
Simple, and effective.
I will say however it does not work on every single person, which is why having strong customer service skills is an essential requirement for all leasing consultants and property managers alike.
this poem is sad, and amazing. bringing thoughts and questions to mind. wondering how some people can be considered human. i'm 16 and it's sad to hear this. my dad use to beat my mother and me and my sisters. he stopped as i grew older and stronger. I just hope you know this world is not only known as horror but that there are people who can show kindness. I wish you the best of luck and that your storm is no more. May you and your child be safe.

fellow, gentle readers, here are the lyrics to “Borderless Love,” particularly poignant for we who live on the borderlands:
Borderless Love… Read More
Walking the line between pleasure and pain Biding my time between loss and gain I've run out of roads, I've traveled them all Down at the border by the one-sided wall
Down at the border, facing that wall Racking my brain for the cause of it all No one to point to, no one to blame I can't be the only one stuck in this game
Borderless love, the land of the free Borderless love, how far can you see? Borderless love, there's no border at all In a borderless love there's no need for a wall
When I feel what I feel, when I see what I see Why do my heart and my head disagree? A one-sided wall, is it all in the mind? Who can see more than one side at a time?
A wall is a mirror that can only reveal One side of a story that passes for real But break it all down, it all becomes clear It's the fearless who love and the loveless who fear
Borderless love, the land of the free Borderless love, how far can you see? Borderless love, there's no fear at all In a borderless love there's no need for a wall

So while all sets were broken, I am very happy and there was no room for kipping as the wall and mirror too close (of course!), not that I have much of a kip anyway and is something else for me to get going. And knock this time on it's arse!
Anyway enough soapboxing, but I have to thank the jase and stef for the programming/training they prescribe, I am in geraldton for another week and plan to do some training in a real gym facility!
