It looks like moist clay which is never the best choice for pieces like this. Not only is the piece going to weigh a ton, if you didn't use slab construction - which it looks like you didn't - then you'll never be able to fire it. It'll harden into greenware but the risk of chipping/breaking is enormous. That said, pay more attention to the area around the eyes. The eyes, and the area immediately around them, create the humanity of a bust. A good rule of thumb is to cover up the forehead and mouth and see if the emotion you were trying to convey still comes through. The only other minor thing I see is that the lower jaw might be a little thick on the bottom. That said, every thing else is pretty great. I'm glad to see that you even tackled the ears; my first few busts all went without. Its easy to mirror hand movements when you can see both sides, but having to individually sculpt two mirror images is much harder. If I judged wrong and you're using an oil based clay like plasticine, you're ahead of the game. If not, you might consider buying a generic bust (like they use for wigs) and "building out" from there with the plasticine. Plasticine gives you more ability to create fine detail and never hardens. All you really need is a heat gun to make it malleable. I have a few sculptures that are a few years old that I can still tweak if I want to. Plus, this technique means your works are lighter and easier to cast if you ever want to. Good luck, and stay at it!

What medium were you using? It looks like moist clay which is never the best choice for pieces like this.
