Not mirrors like you use to do your hair in the morning, but just small mirrors (maybe 5" x 7") that you just hang on the wall to look pretty - maybe in shapes of butterflies or something? mirror Picture how do I reinforce a weak picture/ mirror frame?
I bought a very old mirror but the frame is not strong enough to hold the weight of the mirror any longer. I really love this mirror and am wondering how I can strengthen and reinforce the frame. It is made of wood and gesso, so I need to reinforce the frame and corners without much risk of ruining it. Any suggestions?
There are special framing staples. I would staple a reinforcing strip of wood or backing material to the back.
The best thing to do would be to take it to a high quality custom framing store. They can take it apart and reassemble it without damaging the quality.
